Even when you take DVD quality video and try to bring it up to 1080i, it would not be anywhere near what a true HD video is, like a Blue-ray movie or such. This iRIS dock pumps out 1080p through HDMI, or 720p/1080i through component. It will also have a USB jack to synch with a computer.
