iPod Video In High Definition

Do you have a favorite iPod video movie that you'd want to enjoy in glorious 1080p full HD? Well, the Meridian iRIS iPod Dock will offer just that. Or so they claim. Apple is saying that this less than $400 dock will connect your portable device to any HDTV, letting you watch your favorite ipod movie on the big screen, with highest picture quality, and no video-noise.

If it's true, then this is really amazing and for such an amazingly low price. Even when you take DVD quality video and try to bring it up to 1080i, it would not be anywhere near what a true HD video is, like a Blue-ray movie or such. This iRIS dock pumps out 1080p through HDMI, or 720p/1080i through component. It will also have a USB jack to synch with a computer.

Looks like it might be worth it to own an ipod as it has so many cool features. However, one main thing you still have to consider is where to download all your favorite movies to your iPod to enjoy them in glorious full High Definition.
